Frank Craven was an American actor, director, playwright, and producer active in the first half of the twentieth century. He is remembered for his portrayal of the stage manager in the 1938 production of Thornton Wilder’s Our Town, as well as for writing the domestic comedy The First Year in 1920. Craven transitioned from theatrical work to motion picture production, writing and acting after 1929.
